Reminder about 1st round treble auditions...quad divisions are listed on the OMEA Honor Chorus Website. Please check there if you are not sure where you will audition on November 1, 2008.
Please remember to practice LOTS of PATIENCE this year as we implement these changes for the betterment of the students! And be fully prepared to devoted the ENTIRE day, both November 1 and November 18, to working. It will take all of you to make this happen. Please don't penalize your students by your lack of planning to be there fully and completely!
Mistakes on CD....
1. There is a typo on the CD cover..."Muie Rendera" is typed as "Muie Hendera" on the cover ....
2. The pronunciation on the CD of "Muie Rendera" is correct. In the Portugal dialect the "R" is a Brazilian/French "R" which sounds very much like a guttural "H".
3. On "Muie Rendera", at m. 53 in the Soprano and Tenor, it plays a D# instead of a D. Please have your students learn it as written in the music.
4. On the A1 part CD - "Alleluia" - m84, beat 1 - two notes sound. Please have your students sing the top note.
5. On the A1/A2 part CD - "Alleluia" - m49-52 - The F sounds as an F#. Please have your students learn it as written.
6. On the S1/S2 part CD - "Alleluia" - m46-52 - The C sounds as a C#. Please have your students learn it as written.
