Criteria for OCDA Director of Distinction nomination and election:
1. The nominee must be a member in good standing of the American Choral Directors Association at the time of nomination and election.
2. Nominees should exemplify the following characteristics:
A high standard of musicianship as demonstrated by work in choral music in Oklahoma.
A high standard of professionalism as demonstrated by scholarship and relations with fellow musicians.
A record of service to choral music in Oklahoma.
A record of active service in the Oklahoma Choral Directors Association.
3. Nominees may come from any specialty, discipline, or teaching level within ACDA membership.
4. Previous recipients of the Director of Distinction award are excluded from further nominations.
