President-Elect
Elementary  Representative
     Darla Eshelman is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Music Education at Oklahoma Baptist University where she teaches elementary and secondary music education courses, directs the Bisonette Glee Club, and supervises student teachers.  She also conducts the "OBU Children's Concert Choir" & the "Youth Honor Chorale" which are community choirs through the University Preparatory Department.  The groups also serve as lab choirs for music education majors.  The OBU Children's Concert Choir has been selected to perform at the 2005 ACDA National Convention in Los Angeles in February.
     Darla earned a B.M.E. degree from Grand Canyon University, M.M.E. degree in choral & general music from Arizona State University, and the Ph.D. degree in music education with Kodaly emphasis from the University of Oklahoma.  Prior to teaching at OBU, Dr. Eshelman taught K-8 general and choral music in Arizona and Oklahoma.
     Darla has elementary and junior high choral music published through Warner Brothers, Alliance, and Hal Leonard.  She also writes elementary music lesson plans for the Music Express Magazine published by Hal Leonard.  Darla is active as a guest clinician and conductor for elementary and junior high choirs as well as regional, state, and national music education workshops

     Stacy Weger is currently OCDA’s College Representative and is Director of Choral Activities at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he serves as conductor for the Southeastern Chorale, Women’s Chorus, and Symphonic Choir.  He also teaches secondary vocal methods, choral conducting, and sacred music courses as well as serving as advisor to the collegiate MENC chapter.
     Stacy received his B.M.E. and M.M.E. degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi and his D.M.A. in choral conducting from the University of Texas at Austin.  He previously taught at the University of Texas, Southwest Texas State University, and the public schools of Forest and Natchez, Mississippi.  He also served as Artistic Director/Conductor of the Austin Boys Choir and as Symphonic Choir manager for New Texas Music Works.
     While in Mississippi, Stacy served as state ACDA President, as MMEA President-elect and high school chair, and as director of the Lakeshore Choral Music Camp.  While Mississippi ACDA President, membership rose to its highest level, regional choral workshops were established, the state Solo/Ensemble festival began as an ACDA event, and the R & S chairs oversaw revision of the state contest list for adjudication.
     Stacy is a member of ACDA, OCDA, MENC, and OMEA.  He maintains an active schedule as choral festival clinician, conductor, and adjudicator.  
Junior High  Representative
     Randa Mitchell graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree.  She has taught middle school and junior high school vocal music for seven years.  She spent five years teaching at Carl Albert Junior High in Midwest City and two years in Amarillo, Texas.  She has taught a variety of choral groups including Show Choir, Jazz Choir, Treble Choir, Men’s Choir, and Mixed Choir. 
     Randa was a co-conductor of one of the 2003 OMEA Honor Choirs.  She has had students selected to participate in COCDA Honor Choirs, All-OMEA Honor Choirs, and regional and national American Choral Director’s Association Honor Choirs.  She is a member of OEA/NEA, MENC/OMEA, and ACDA/OCDA.  She is the Assistant Music Associate at Choctaw Road Baptist Church and directs the Young Singers of Central Oklahoma Youth Chorale at Oklahoma Baptist University. 
     Deryla Royal is in her 22nd year of teaching vocal music, having taught in Hooker, Enid, and now in her 14th year in Shattuck where she teaches grades 1-12.
     Deryla graduated from Beaver High School after which she earned her BME degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1985.  She is a member of WOCDA where she has served as President and Vice-President.  Her peers voted her as the 1997 WOCDA Director of Distinction.  Deryla is also a member of OMEA/MENC, and OCDA/ACDA.  She has had numerous students inthe All-State Children's Chorus, All-OCDA Junior High Chorus and Women's Chorus, and the OMEA All-State Choir.
     Deryla has been married to Richard for 22 years.  They have three sons, Rusty, a sophomore at UCO, Ryan, a junior and Ross, a freshman at Arnett High School.  She is a member of the 1st Christian Church in Arnett (where Richard pastors) where she plays the piano and leads the singing.  Deryla's favorite saying for her students has been, "Always keep a song in your heart."
Northeast Representative
     Linda Pollock is a native of Illinois and is a Bronze Tablet graduate of the University of Illinois (Highest Honors.)  She has taught a total of twenty-three years, nineteen of which have been in Claremore.  She directs both the Will Rogers Junior High and Claremore High School choir programs.  She also directs the high school musicals.  She was chosen Claremore's Teacher of the Year in 2002.
     Linda is a member of NEA, OMEA, OCDA, and NCDA (Northeastern District.)  She served as the NCDA President in 1995-1996.  Since 1996, she has served both as their Treasurer and accompanist for the Junior High District Honor Choir.
     Linda is now in her 14th year as the Music Director for the First Presbyterian Church in Claremore.  She is active in her community and has sung in the Claremore Community Chorus, the Tulsa Opera Chorus, and has both directed and sung in the community's annual July 4th Music Festival.
     Tracy Watson is the Vocal Music Director at Sapulpa High School and the Vocal Music Coordinator for Sapulpa Public Schools, positions he has held since 2000.  He began his teaching career as an  elementary music teacher for Sapulpa Schools and remained in that position for ten years before moving to the high school.
     Tracy received  his B.M.E. from East Central University and his M.M.E. from the University  of Tulsa.  At Sapulpa High School Tracy conducts the Select Chorus, SYNCOPATION Jazz Choir and the Advanced Women's Chorus and produces and directs the All-School Musical each year.  He has served as a clinician for the  Metro Honor Choir of Tulsa and has been a judge for OMEA and
OCDA for the past seven years.  Under his direction, the choirs at Sapulpa have received numerous Superior ratings in Concert Performance and Sight Reading Contests and there have been over 70 students in the all-state choruses from 2000-2007.  Tracy was selected as the building-level Teacher of the Year in 1993, 1998 and 2002 and he also received the Sapulpa Public Schools Distinguished Service Award in 2002.
Southwest
Representative
 
     Carisa Schreiner is in her twelveth year of vocal music education.  She has spent eleven of those years teaching in the Frederick Public Schools where she teaches elementary and high school vocal music. 
Carisa graduated from Walters High School in 1991 and received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Cameron University in 1995 and the Master of Music degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1998.  In 1997, she was voted Frederick Elementary Teacher of the Year and in 2000 was awarded District Teacher of the Year for Frederick Public Schools. 
     She has served numerous years as Circle the State with Song region coordinator and has served as a co-chair for the SW first round OMEA All-State auditions.  Additionally, she is the state gold cup chairman for the Oklahoma Federated Music Club and teaches private piano lessons.
     Serving in the community, Carisa is a member and former president of the Frederick Arts and Humanities Council and a member of the Frederick Philharmonic Music Club. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Frederick where she is on rotation as pianist.  She is also active in MENC, OMEA, ACDA, OCDA, NFMC, and OFMC.  She lives in Frederick with her husband Kirk, who is employed by USDA and engages in farming and ranching.  They are the proud parents of two-year-old son,  Jake.

     Mary Beth Singleton has been teaching Music at Lone Grove Public Schools for 15 years.  She is currently teaching 2nd through 5th grades, as well as a few 1st Grade and Kindergarten classes.  Mary Beth’s performing group, the Lone Grove Intermediate Honor Chorus, was fortunate enough to be chosen to perform at the OMEA Convention this year, which has definitely become one of the highlights of her career!
     Besides teaching general music and directing the Honor Chorus, Mary Beth also coordinates the Celebration Assemblies each week, and co-teaches the Jump N Jive jump rope team.  She has also written lesson plans for the Music Express Magazine, published by Hal Leonard.  Mary Beth was selected as the Lone Grove Teacher of the Year for 2005.  She graduated from high school in Bennington, OK and received her BME from Southeastern Oklahoma State University as a piano major in 1992.
     Mary Beth has served as the State Chair for the All-OMEA Children’s Chorus, as well as the State Chair for CTSWS, and is back in line to serve these positions again for the next 2 years.  She has also served as region H coordinator and accompanist.  Mary Beth’s voice can be heard on many children’s rehearsal CD’s for these events. 
     Not only does Mary Beth spend her days teaching children at school, she also enjoys directing the Children’s Choirs at Northwest Baptist Church in Ardmore.  She has also directed the church handbells, and is a frequent soloist with the adult choir.   She is currently the church pianist.  Mary Beth is married to Wes Singleton, and they have 2 darling daughters, Molly, 10, and Chloe, a spirited 4. 
     Charla Dedmon is in her 37th year of vocal music education. She has been in the Walters Middle School and High School choral position since 1980.  Prior to assuming her duties at Walters she taught at Country Club Heights Elementary in Lawton.  Charla received her BA in Music Education - triple major: vocal, instrumental and theory, from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and continued studies in advanced choral methods and Orff-Kodaly methods courses.  She has been chairperson for Southwest Oklahoma Jr. High All-Region Honor Choirs; served on the Jr. High and High School All-Region Honor Choirs’ advisory boards; worked on the State Department’s "Tool Kit for the Arts" P.A.S.S. Objectives for National Standards Testing Committee; OSSAA Music Advisory Committee and served two terms as OCDA Southwest Representative, 2003 All-OMEA State Chorus Chair and 2003-2004 OMEA Vocal Vice President. She was recently honored 2007 OMEA Exemplary Teacher of the Year.
     Her students have been selected to Jr. High and High School All-Region Honor Choirs, All-OMEA State Chorus and All-OCDA Jr. High and Women’s Chorus, participated in Circle the State with Song programs and have superior rated District/State solos, ensembles, Outstanding Achievement Awards and OSSAA Sweepstakes honors.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities she is very involved in other school and community activities.  She has served as President of the MacDowell Club of Allied Arts; performed and accompanied Walters Theatre Guild summer productions; directed and accompanied numerous all-school musicals; and is the director of the Miss Walters Scholarship Pageant.  She is very active in church music and serves as music director, pianist, youth and children’s choir director for the First United Methodist Church; Ministerial Alliance community choir chair and program organizer/accompanist for the communities annual cancer benefit concert, Song to Heal/Song for Hope.
     Charla was selected 1990, 1994 and 2004 Walters Teacher of the Year and 1985 and 1995 Walters Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. She has been an active member of OEA/NEA, MENA/OMEA, ACDA/OCDA, professional organizations and Delta Kappa Gamma - XI Chapter society international.
     Rhonda Maynard has been choir director and elementary teacher for the past 22 years at Hobart Public Schools.  She received her BA in education at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and the Orff/Kodaly I certificate from SWOSU.  She received the Director of Distinction Award for the Western Region and has been the Teacher of the Year for Hobart Schools.
